This book will certainly be leaning towards romance but obvious conflict. I consider myself a firey, rude and generally an awful person to be around SO my female characters are a bit feisty because I'm not about that Disney Princess life. I already know that I'll be getting a lot of BS because of Ivar and Freydís having their 'moment'. I mean obviously I do not want a bunch of crap so let me say it clearly. Eleanor thought life to be a hilarious performance, something that no troubadour could think of, except God. She silently watched as her fate was sealed so quickly- in a blink of an eye. The king thrust a sheet of parchment, the heathen scribbled something, then, he gave her the angriest look she had ever seen. His blue eyes burned with such rage, as if she had completely destroyed his life. Like she had slayed all his people. Like she had won every battle against him. Like she took his legs from him. But after that, he didn't look at her anymore. Not even when they sailed through the stormy sea, and she prayed quetly so the entire fleet wouldn't sink to the dark unknown. Not even when they got married, and the heathen priestess told him to kiss the bride.

Opposites attract, no matter the time or place. When the Vikings reached their gates, her brother had only one solution in mind, to marry her off to the Viking King. An arranged marriage was supposed to be only political, but little did they know, both of their fates would change with that wedding.

Ivar meets a foreign woman whose family has recently moved to Kattegat. Despite their affinity for one another, the two cannot seem to get things right.

Post series Vikings AU. Ivar and Hvitserk return to Kattegat after their defeat in England, and for a time life returns to a kind of normal, until Ivar's brittle bones begin to affect his hearing. Faced with the terrifying possibility that he will lose his ability to hear, and with it his ability to communicate and the words that have always been his power, he does what Ivar does best, and ignores the problem. Luckily for Ivar, he has a brother that cares. When Hvitserk introduces him to a woman who has been deaf since birth, Ivar's whole world changes for the better.
