The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from unrequited love, where the persons throat will fill up with flower, they will then proceed to throw, and cough up the petals, (sometimes even the flowers). One of the only ways for the disease to 'disappear' is if, the said person returns the feeling (it can't be resolved with friendship, it has to be genuine feelings of love). The infection can also be removed through surgery, though the feelings disappear along with the petals. If they choose nether options, or the feeling is not returned in time, then the patient's lungs will fill up with flowers, and will eventually suffocate. Iwaizumi has loved Tooru oikawa for years, Since they first middle school to be exact. Oikawa was and still is, his first crush. Pushing his own feelings aside for his best friend he ended up developing hanahaki disease Iwaoi angst/ hanahaki AU COMPLETED!

timeskip au !! oikawa leaves for argentina, leaving his and iwazumis feelings behind, he couldnt let that get in the way of his new carrer. while oikawa was gone iwaizumi had to attempt to move on. he still loved tooru, yet he found his [girlfriend]. kaoru kuzumi. iwaizumi had moved on, yet he would always love oikawa. tooru never moved on. over all the guys he dated none were like iwaizumi. eventually kaoru and hajime were getting married while oikawa flew home, just to be the bestman. having to avoid his feelings forever he couldnt handle it. and soon after the wedding he cut all ties with iwaizumi.
