Amaya is a cheerful and bubbly girl, living in a world where the 4 cardinal heroes are summoned to save the lives of everyone in the world. She may just be recalled as a happy girl in a small village living with her 2 brothers, but she is much stronger than her title suggests. Having being transported here after a car crash, she blended in and decided that she'd make the most of her life living in this world. Returning was always in the back of her head, but she gave up after finding people that she loved around the land. Naofumi Iwatani is, or was, an ordinary otaku who lived his life casually. Reading light novels at the library and such. However, he was sent to a world where he was the Shield hero; the least respected of the 4 cardinal heroes. After being betrayed by who he thought was going to be a potential party member, his optimistic and carefree personality took a turn. Both with potential and their relation to the world that they were in before being transported, what will happen? Sparks of hate, friendship, or maybe even love? Read to find out. Naofumi Iwatani was summoned to the world the Kingdom of Melromarc resides, but not the same carefree and kind Naofumi. No, it was a 13-year-old version of him where his parents forced him to focus on his studies, much like his younger brother in the original series. Takes place right after the event of Naofumi's fierce battle against the scythe hero and his companion in cal mira island, while for the SAO takes place after the event of ordinal scale where the secret organization called rath already developed a new device called soul translator which can make the user can fully dive virtually into some kind of a world, its also happened right before the incident of alicization this is a crossover fanfic between anime called the rising of the shield hero and sword art online. Though through the aid and caring support of Raphtalia and Filo, who have managed to find a special place in his heart, Naofumi has managed to get by and establish himself as a true hero for the people while fighting off the Catastrophic Waves that threaten to destroy the world. However, whilst engaging in battle and continuing to nurture and strengthen his Cardinal Shield, certain conditions seemed to have been met as the shield bestows upon Naofumi something else to aid him in his fights, a being that seemed to be resting within the shield and waiting for its wielder to unlock its power so that they may make themselves known to whomever was in possession of this Cardinal Shield.
