From friends at birth to childhood best friends to bully and nerd to Katsuki hating Izuku to rivals. Izuku and Katsuki have been close their whole life. Something changed between them in their last year of junior high school. Katsuki actually bullies him, beats him up to a degree different from before, and he just absolutely hates Izuku. Things change when Izuku and Katsuki get too friendly, he starts to only talks to people if Todoroki is with him, when he's alone he talks to no one and avoids them.
