Hiyori knows now. How much of an antagonist he is. How much of a folly his actions had been. He knows now how undeserving of Ikuya's friendship he is, but he also knows how hard it is to be someone you're not, even when you do it to stay by a loved one's side. Ikuya had always thought of Hiyori as a nuisance of a friend whom he tolerates because he can be 100% honest around him. He knows Hiyori can be overbearing, manipulative, insincere, mean, even, but he cannot deny that Hiyori had always put Ikuya first in every way possible. But as they drift apart, Ikuya realises that he may have known the Hiyori the Troublesome Meddling Caretaker, but never Hiyori the Living, Breathing Human with Feelings.
