It's twenty years into the future, and the U.S. government is tired of their citizens eating unhealthily. After banning all fatty, sugary, salty junk food (in other words, McDonald's is no longer existent in America), fourteen-year-old Kevin Simmons goes to extreme lengths to ensure that everyone gets their daily dose of comfort food. This short story was inspired by a prompt in Writer's Digest, Fall 2014 edition.
