denki kaminari is a transgender, bisexual 16 year old. his parents don't support either him transitioning or him being bisexual, to the point where they'll become violent whenever he brings either of them up. they would try to over feminise him, and would do anything just to put down his transgender identity. they refused to let him hang out with girls, afraid that he would date another girl. for his safety, when he got into UA he just decided to pretend as if he's dropped both of those ideas entirely. izuku midoriya is also a transgender 16 year old, but he's gay. his mother has been unconditionally supportive of him and his transition, from picking out his name to getting him therapy and helping him get prescribed testosterone. when he got into UA, he made friends rather quickly. denki kaminari was one of these friends. kaminari wanted this friendship to last as long as possible, and since he got bullied for being trans in middle school- he kept being trans a secret. as did midoriya, but that was just a not being ready kind of thing. kaminari soon started to develop feelings for midoriya. it couldn't hurt, right? kaminaris parents wouldn't care if he was dating a boy, right? he was a cis guy, right? and even if he wasn't cis his parents would never find out, right? right?
