Izuku had always been told he couldn't be a hero. His childhood best friend certainly made sure that was known. Even without a quirk, he thought he could figure something out. He wanted to help people after all. But when your favorite hero tells you that you can't be a hero, you lose hope in the system. You want to give up. Everyone always reminds you that you won't be missed if you die, so oftentimes it's hard to believe that he had a need to stay. But one night, while Izuku is walking home from a convenience store, he sees someone being robbed in an alleyway. He moved without thinking, his mind somehow thinking quick enough to dodge punches from the jerk robbing someone. And next thing he knew, the thug was knocked out on the ground, and the victim was safe. He was too shocked by himself to do anything else other than urge the victim to call the police, and then he ran away. His plan was pretty simple he would manipulate katsuki who would now do anything to try and protect izuku just to be forgiven, he would use katsuki's guilt against him to make him the UA traitor. Katsuki who is blind to the fact follows after izuku and does whatever he says.
