Izuru Kamukura knew with absolute certainty that flowers did not grow inside a human body, and so did the scientists who had poured their greed and minds into the creation of talent incarnate, yet had deemed all social cues and relations worthless. They were useless, as humanity deserved a tool with no emotions.
Thus, the Ultimate Hope was simply not configured to feel. In fact, even if he eventually did, his talents would surely overwrite the mess. Talent would solve humans' defects, while the sole being who embodied the solution to them all could drown in boredom and loneliness, yet remain unaffected by them. It was promising and, without a doubt, the optimal use of human advances and the greatest minds. It could have worked out, albeit for the sudden growth of flowers and roots across Izuru's lungs, stabbing and making him choke as time passed by. Unfortunately, those people in gowns had long been discarded. In another life, these symptoms would not have developed further, as the disease would have been physically removed from Izuru's insides no matter how insignificant the symptoms were.
But here he was, swallowing down and choking on white lilies for a man who loved the symbol instead of the person.
