Dear You, This story is about longing. This story is about two people who weren't supposed to collide came together. This story is about the tryst with destiny. What happens when despite all the words that are bestowed, everything was left unsaid. What happens when despite all the trust bestowed, hope was gone? This story is the shortest ballad written down in the longest time. Trying to delay as much as one could bottle up just to avoid the pages turning. It's about the relationship that faded away but just when the memories began to fade someone found the oldest trick in the book, to write. This story is about all the letters that were returned unread, sent to an address which no longer could be found. It's about how two people who meet on a staircase try to embrace each other's true self behind the veil. Relations are always imbalanced and that's the truth that no one talks about, at least on paper. You are told that in relation two must be equal for it to suffice but the truth is that in those relations that suffice there is always one who does more. Then the other person tries to make effort but fails. And when they both stop they become who they were all along; strangers. This wouldn't be like a story that will catch you off guard or knock you off your feet. But by the time you are done, you will be left with compassion and feeling what was felt by him and her, in all the real sense. With the words which are to be savored, and with the gaps to be swallowed too as raw as they are meant to be. She had flowers in her hair and demons in her head. He had cigarettes in his hand, yeah that's all he really had. Sometimes things happen slowly, eventually, gradually yet suddenly for you to realize that it's all over before it ever had a chance to begin and like the time all those moments that pass, the stories usually go and come around where it all started. Sincerely, The guy who wrote what was unsaid.

A nursery rhyme with a twisted fate, as ... Jack and Jill went up that hill - finding themselves in deep jeopardy! Their fate was no longer in their hands, as the beast in another realm took over. This is a story of the Nursery Rhyme where two innocent children fell into a trap at such a young age. Why? It's out of this world! But within a darker format, the plot changes. ~~~ When the brother and sister duo taunted their baby brother repeatedly about "the monster" hiding inside the closet, they didn't expect how their choice of words would haunt them. And once they were dared to enter the mysterious door; that was when they learned that there wasn't any way they could turn back! Thus, Jack & Jill found themselves catering to the orders of an ogre in order to find their way back home ... that is if they ever fetch that pail of water. But after dropping the water on the ground as they lost their balance, numerous obstacles ( the test of time) came before them! Now, will they ever make it back home? And in time before they age? ~~ Written from Nov. 2016 to 2018. The new cover is created by @EkemWrites Thanks fo your help!

Four (possibly more to come) short stories based on nursery rhymes with a dark twist. Currently includes pieces based on Drunken Sailor, London Bridge is Falling Down, Teddy Bears' Picnic and Jack and Jill! I started this for a creative assignment at university and may come back to add more pieces to the collection in the future, but each piece stands as its own thing!

Jack and Jill Went up the hill To fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down And broke his crown And Jill came tumbling after. This nursery rhyme and many others of its like have been reiterated to most of us so many times throughout our childhood that they're now practically etched into our brains. But have you ever wondered why these rhymes are taught to children before any other lesson of their lives? What makes these tiny poems so important? Was amusing infantile brains the sole purpose of their creation? What if they were more? What if they were parables of some of the greatest men to ever walk Earth? What if they were mementos of the most vicious wars humanity fought for its survival? What if they were fables of legendary courage, wisdom, pain and sacrifice, which mankind had never wanted to forget? What if they were lengthy books, time could bury beneath dust, transformed to stanzas capable of thriving in the purity of hearts, forever? What if?
