So, like it says in the title, Harry meets Oliver. Should be fun, right? I guess I should say that this will not be brilliant- but who cares? It's in Dodger's point of view, because he's an easy character to write as. So, wish me luck, and here goes nothing!

All is well in the Australian Colony of Port Victory until a convict doing time for pickpocketing turns up. Josie has a familiar glint in her eyes and a nickname the towns people swear they have heard before. This is a fanfic of the Disney+ show "The Artful Dodger". All rights reserved. I only claim my original plot lines and characters as my own. Several of the main characters were not my ideas. This fanfic maybe not be completely lore accurate (especially with the upcoming release of season 2) however I try my best to make sure nothing is completely out of this world.

So guys. I have been thinking about this since yesterday. You all know me. mrsgeorgecubbins only ever writes about Lockwood & Co, right? Wrong! I am really into Oliver Twist, and yesterday I was at my friend's house, and, childish as it sounds, we were playing a game. She likes Oliver! too, so it was obviously about that. I decided that if we were to do this properly, I would have to come up with my favourite character's back story. Who's my fave? Well, this is one of his awesome lines: "Wod'ya mean ain't got no manners?! We're all regula' gen'lemen 'round 'ear, we're all QUALI'Y. My, what a lot of apostrophes! Obviously, my favourite is Jack Dawkins, better known among his more intimate friends, as the Artful Dodger. I came up with story whilst pacing around my friend's bedroom yesterday. And now, I'm writing it down.

A story depicting the love Jack Dawkins and Amber Jane were able to gain from one another. A classic tale of a rich fair lady falling for a man with a troubled past leading to many misfortunes both would overcome with each other's help. Through many struggles both entailing the past and present, the couple embarks on a journey to finally express themselves freely instead of hiding behind a facade of memories turning them from once friends to lustful lovers.

They could make you feel cut off from your immediate environment. Even though the horrific event happened a while ago, you could feel as though you are back there again, going through it all over again. It can take some time for sexual assault, abuse, and other traumatising events to cause flashbacks. Even if you believe you have effectively recovered from the pain it gave you, this could still occur months or even years later. After having your first flashback, the persistent fear of going through the trauma again could start to creep into your regular life. The majority of flashbacks consist of pictures from the distressing incident. These visuals can cause you to feel strong emotions as well as physical side effects including trembling, dizziness, and an accelerated heartbeat. While some flashbacks may contain vivid pictures, others may only contain some of the feelings you felt at the time. But for Arthur, this trauma was different. Travelling across the country on your own does that to you; the isolation and the promise of a better life are the only things dragging you along. If only you knew what was really in store. . .
