In the hopes of erasing the 'voice', she started seeing a psychiatrist--but instead of achieving normalcy, she discovered stranger things that might question her sanity. Who was the voice in her head? Who was the person sending her letters? As Halloween approaches, her curiosity intensifies. All this could lead to somewhere unpleasant, things that might be best kept buried in oblivion. But someone will not rest until she returned to where she rightfully belonged, and she herself will not rest until she discovered who 'J.V.W.' was. This year's Halloween might be the big turning point of Emily's life.

Every Halloween the same events happen. Pumpkins are carved, candles are stuck inside and lit, and the now Jack O'Lanterns are placed outside. What would we do if we learned of the other side of the story? This is the other side.

After being told a ghost story around the campfire, a group of kids attending the camp becomes terrified as ghosts and monsters haunt the camp and the surrounding forest. They become afraid of it, but some initially think it's all a prank by one of the counselors, even when the campers and counselors start to get picked off one by one. Even though things look bad, some campers still think it's a fraud, at least until things get worse. The longer they stay and ignore the ghosts' warnings, the worse the hauntings become. Then they become convinced and start to get scared out of their wits.

Frank and Emma Taylor have been on the run for eight years. After the death of their mother, the siblings took off rather than living in a children's home. They hide the secret of their mother's death, the deal that Frank made with an evil woman. At eighteen, Frank has had enough. He wants to settle down and not run from the past, to be free of the menace that haunts him every Halloween. With the night drawing closer, Frank and Emma know that they'll be committing another dark deed and with that, they will leave another town behind. The problem is that in this town, Frank's found a woman that he likes. He looks at Lola and sees a future that he cannot have. When Lola realises that Frank and Emma have skipped town, she begins to look for them, unaware that it is the beginning of the end. The search for an answer to Frank's problems will lead them to the only person that can help them. He will give them everything that they need to be free of the past that is hunting them down. All Lola has to do is agree to his terms. Lola will learn that every deal has a price but the sacrifice that she makes will be worth it. © This story is copyrighted. Aaren's always been bullied for the misspelling of his name. While tugging his Jack-O-Lantern cart, he notices...the street lights flickering? Is this mysterious incident going to turn out for the worse...or will it actually provide some good in Aaren's life?

A very generous neighbor keeps giving me pumpkins every time I walk by her house. I have 4 pumpkins and I think using them for jackolanterns is a waste. Instead I am going to make tasty dishes like homemade pumpkin pie 🎃🍰. Besides if I wait until Halloween to use these it'll be a waste of Fresh pumpkin. I'll also be doing this book in 2021 as well, giving you updates on plants as I will grow pumpkins from seed next year. Edit: I have 5 pumpkins!

For those who know, in the original tale Jack tricks the devil up a tree on his next encounter with him, before sealing his fate utterly. For the sake of a clearer and better flowing narrative I did not incorporate this into my story. I hope this does not detract from your enjoyment of the story. Atop a hill on the edge of a small town there sits a lonely house with a sour aura. There you will find a man with stitches running around his neck, a chip on his shoulder, and a gun at his hip. If you have dallied in the dark, played with demons, or rent the world asunder, then you can ask him for help, and, for the right price, he will save your soul. Life has not been good to Ichabod Crowley, 16 years, dwelling in darkness, with only one goal in mind has offered so few rewards and certainly taken its toll, yet, it wants more. An old debt has come due, and must be repaid. Years he has spent preparing for it, but it will take more than simple tools or guile to survive this test, it will take a miracle. With old friends standing at his back, enemies ready to defend their claim, and his own dreams, slipping, fragile, through his fingers, night falls, and, before the sun rises, it will all be over, one way or another.
