This is based off the sun and moon show some, and me just having random ideas. Basically, Sun was programmed with strong parental instincts that lay mostly dormant until they got triggered.

Sun and Moon were the bestest of friends-until the darkness took them, transforming them into the valley's most feared villains, Blaze and Frostbite. When an exhausted and depressed Cosmos seeks refuge at their fortress to escape his brother Eclipse after Eclipse lashes out at Cosmos, he's just looking for a place to hide. He doesn't expect his presence to change the very villains the valley fears. Blaze and Frostbite aren't giving up their villainous ways anytime soon, but maybe-just maybe-having their old friend around can guide them toward a somewhat more civil way of life. Blaze and Frostbite fell into the dark together, but surviving the chaos of heroes, neutrals, and old friendships might just change their relationship forever.
