On Jack's 17th birthday an accident leading to a tragic death will push Elsa to the edge of breaking point, and turns her life to ruins. Two years later someone returns. But he can't remember anything about his past or who he is. In the process of remembering and dealing with the changes caused by the accident, can he save Elsa before she destroys herself? I changed RotG to better fit the timeline, though, causing Jack Frost to become a Guardian very soon after dying instead of hundreds of years later. This is a Big Four story. It is not named after Bilbo's book for any particular reason. It's based off a picture I found on Pinterest that I added to the top of each chapter. Edited, as of 3/31/16!

Elsa begins turning towards anyone and anything to get rid of the guilt that's boiling inside of her. Jack is the only one that can stop her before she loses herself, but most importantly loses everyone she loves. At the same time Jack is dealing with his newfound magic, and the responsibility that comes with using it. For as everyone knows, magic always comes at a price... Can Jack save Elsa from the darkness before its too late? Or will Elsa drown in her own guilt and fear?
