While with her father, once being the Son of the Lands, allows her to transform into a wolf whenever she wants. Morgan stole her ship from her when she was off on a trip. The story starts when Nyx finds Will near the wreck sight of the merchant ship, she didn't think he was alive. She helped him towards a Navy ship, which was holding men heading to Port Royal. Nyx was in her mermaid form then so when she got him close enough to the Navy ship she turned back to her human form and laid next to Will, exhausted.
