The characters are aged up to 16-17 This IS a Jalph fic as well as an overall AU. This takes place when they are around 16, Jack had returned back to "normal life", and there's a new student. It's Ralph, despite protest, they are stuck together. They try to avoid each other, but they just can't stay away, it's as if it's fate.

Jack Merridew was a miserable boy, his world slowly starting to slip away from the grasp of his own hands. As an insomniac and destined high school dropout living a pretty much completely uneventful life, nothing was ever colorful in his eyes. His life stays motionless until one day, he sees pools of jaded green and slowly a mirage of vibrant colors flooding into his life.
