When Jacob picked up the phone, he chose his words more wisely. He didn't let Bella know who was on the other side of the phone. Edward never went to Italy to die, and Bella stayed in Forks. Bella has to come to terms with her love for Jacob while still navigating Edward's hold on her heart. Although Bella is battling with herself, the threat of a vengeful Victoria still looms over Forks. Bella never allowed herself to consider Jacob, not when immortality with Edward stood in the way. She knew her path, not the road less taken. She is cautiously going down a new path, one where the journey might be better than she expected.

"The Quileute boy, nearly a man now, had always been the happiest person she knew. He'd been the optimist while she was the realist or the pessimist. He had always tried so hard, and she had looked up to him in that way. He was happy as the sunshine, and she didn't realize how much she had missed it until that moment. " ______ When Bella finally gets back to Forks, she realizes her best friend has grown up. On top of that, a boy in her class is being very strange. She must navigate this new world she finds herself in without getting her dad or herself killed. How does one handle Vampires or Werewolves on top of being a teenager? Jacob can't believe his best friend and childhood crush is back. He's grown up a bit, and the weight of his tribe is on his shoulders. Can he handle that and this incredible draw to her? Should be a piece of cake in comparison to the vampire following her around. This is a fix-it. I'm gonna try to fix the shit SMeyer did. I am also a hopeless romantic, so expect this to be romantic and angsty.

In life, there are two types of people. No I'm not talking about introverts and extroverts. No, I'm not talking about Democrats and Republicans. I'm talking about Team Jacob fans and Team Edward fans. Like all the people on Team Jacob, I believe Jacob should have ended up with Bella. This is a fanfic that dives into my imagination and what should've happened to Jacob Black and Bella Swan.

I sat hopeless for months, a year, just waiting. Depression has still yet to leave me. At least I have a friend in Jacob. He is there, in my darkest moments, and I know what he want's, but I just can't give him that part of myself, I can't ever open up to someone again. My heart just won't heal from this wound...Right? At the time, I didn't think anything was different. I had failed to realize something was changing, something about the very core of my being. But it did, and I was never the same. Fear, is one thing I can rely on, cold, hard fear of this unknown part of myself, about what I could become. Am I finally strong enough to be without him? Fear that this new part of myself will forget about the thing that was so essential to my being. Yes, I am scared that with my new life, I will forget him, the very person that abandoned and forgot me, and wis undoubtedly with someone new, a vampire who can be for him what I never could. Why couldn't I just let go, and be happy with my new life? Why do I cling to these memories of someone who doesn't love me? And now, even if he returned, I am repulsive to him, the very being that his kind hates... I have someone in front of me, and now I am accepted by his kind, am I really so much of a coward that I can't let him help me, love me? In this continuation of Twilight New Moon, Edward never came back in New Moon, and it's JacobxBella, but it's probably not the kind of thing you would think of when thinking about this certain 'what if'.
