Cricket is a young cat who wants everything to stay the same. An icy plunge sends her drifting away from her family and her home, and she doesn't know how to find her way back. After meeting a young kitten who has lost his memory and his family, she promises to help him find his way home, and they set off on a long and dangerous journey. On the way they meet cats who have lost their beloved companions as well, and with humans starting to tear apart their forest home, they know they must find a new place to live. On their journey Cricket finds the courage to embrace change instead of driving it away, and discovers what having a family truly means.
