An original female character finds herself living in LA and soon getting unintentionally involved in the world of Orcs, cops and prophecies, and into Nick Jakobys life.

When no one gets along in this world how are you going to survive? Just like everyday you have to walk along the street to get to work. Orcs look at you as trash. Humans think you as a nasty Orc. And don't even think about going to the elf town. You mom told you that you was special. That you where always perfect. You never thought that was the case since you are half Orc. Half Human. How could anyone love you? That was your opinion until you met the Orc Cop known as Jakoby.

-So I've recently watched a movie called Bright, and it gave me a few ideas and I wanted to try this book out. I do not own any characters in the movies Bright or Gaurdians of the Galaxy, I only own my ideas.(this book will not be 100% accurate with the movie, so I apologize in advance if I get some lines incorrect)- The day that Daryl Ward got shot was the day the police force assigned a new member of the their team, Drax Chift who was a dog they wanted to put of Ward and Jakoby's team. They were aware of Drax being a shapeshifter, and assigned him into the team a little before Ward got back from his leave. What happens when Drax decides to take Jakoby and Ward to his sister when they find trouble with a wand and an elf, Tikka? Will Drax's sister help the Human, Orc and Elf, or will she take her brother and leave before he gets harmed?

Diane, a schoolteacher from Texas, wakes in an alternate Los Angeles-gritty, magic-laced, and home to elves, orcs, and buried prophecy. As she searches for answers, she crosses paths with Ward, Jakoby, Tikka, and the enigmatic MTF.
