Jack Barakat is a schizophrenic sent to a mental hospital by his friend Alex Gaskarth; years after he was sent to the hospital, Alex receives a letter from the Baltimore state mental hospital; Jack missing.

If Alex could press rewind...if he could just take things back a little while. Just a few minutes...days...months. If he could just go back a few years, and stop it before it all began, he would.

Alex has lived in Iqaluit, Nunavut his whole life. This is a mental hospital/ health AU. No, its not therapistxstudents cause I'm uncomfortable writing that stuff. I might add more bands as I write but for now its going to be PTV, ATL, and Kellin. I havent really figured out how to put the rest of SWS into a fanfic yet maybe another time. When I say solitary in this book for hurting others its just a room at the other end of the floor with extra security but when they hurt themselves its the hospital part of the floor, basically them getting transfusions and stuff like that. Ok? Edit: i put SWS in woohoo!

Jack has always struggled with depression. His parents don't believe that it's really serious. He is falling apart as the strings are slowly pulled out of his soul. Until Alex. Alex moved from to Baltimore that year, after his half brother, Tom, passed away. Alex can't stop grieving, can't even smile. His parents have lost all interest in his life.
