Sienna Sterling is a 21-year-old florist and painter living in Los Angeles. She's an optimistic, slightly overthinking girl who believes in God, fate, butterflies, and the idea that asking the right questions can bring people closer.
So when her best friend Prudencia gets married, Sienna reluctantly agrees to spend the week celebrating with her in Nigeria before everyone heads to South Africa for the wedding.
That's where she meets David Bryant.
David is twenty-five, the COO of one of America's largest investment banks, and pretty much the opposite of Sienna when it comes to how he sees the world. He's emotional where she's analytical, and while Sienna is fascinated by psychology and personality, David doesn't think everything needs a scientific explanation. He believes some things are meant to be felt, not studied.
They weren't supposed to become anything.
They were just two people who happened to meet at a wedding.
But somewhere between Nigeria, South Africa, late-night conversations, arguments, laughter, and getting to know each other a little too well, Sienna starts wondering if maybe a week really can be enough time to fall for someone.
Because how do you explain falling in love with someone you've known for only seven days?
Somehow.
