    (Book 1) Life was as normal as normal could get for the boys in the Glade. The Runners ran out into the gigantic Maze surrounding them, people went about their day as usual. Everything seemed to be the way it was the day before, only it wasn't. Little did the boys know that W.I.C.K.E.D had other plans for them. Other plans that would change the way the Glad operated and went about their day. Elizabeth, one of W.I.C.K.E.D's long-term workers is sent up into the Maze, making her the first official girl to come up in the lift. This makes the boys think differently about how they run the Glade. However what will happen when the boys discover Elizabeth isn't what she seems? How will the young girl cope with finding out that she is different to everyone else around her? She had something inside of her that makes her different, different from anyone else to come up into the Maze. What will the boys think when Elizabeth is in fact someone they know? What will Newt think? "You can't be here. You know what they will do," He told Elizabeth, wrapping his arms around her small frame. "I don't care. I can't lose anyone else," The girl explained, tightening her grip. "You won't lose me Lizzy. I won't let them do anything," The boy replied. "God, I hope not," Elizabeth replied.
