When she decided to come back to further her studies in starfleet, she hadn't expected it to be with a man who couldn't stop spewing incoherent southern metaphors who never seemed to run out of ways to complain about something. And another man who just couldn't say no to a dare, nor ever seemed to back down from a fight even though he knows he'll lose. Yet had the noblest heart she had ever seen. What she never in a million years expected, was when she realized she had fallen in love with the second one.

Eve turned to him, and they were once again face to face, mere inches apart. He couldn't look away from her, mesmerized by her eyes that seemed to glimmer in the light.
