In this scenario Jim's dad is a cambion (kinda like a changeling/human hybrid, not mentioned in the show but still a thing) and knows that Jim is the trollhunter. She waited curiously and was slightly disappointed when he pulled out a green crystal adorned in gold. "This is-" "This is bribery," she finished. "No?" "You are a con man. It is official. Lucas cleared his throat as the rock shrunk into his palm, practically turning into dust. Gwen seemed unimpressed and hopped out of the mud, strutting away from him. He followed suit quickly, shoving the crystal into his pocket. "You say that you are not a god, but you act like one." "How?" he asked, grinning from ear to ear. "You can predict when we will be in peril. You can disappear whenever you'd like. You have a suit of magic armor that glows like the sun itself!" "Well, I'm not. In Trollhunters, Jim Lake Jr.'s father--James Lake Sr.--supposedly disappeared on Jim's 5th birthday after getting him a bike kit as a present. In this story, James Sr. walks out of Jim's and Barbara's lives after claiming he was only going on a business trip; but in actuality was leaving them for good. While Jim waits for his dad to come back, he meets Toby, who just moved in across the street. When Barbara finds out that James Sr. is never coming home again, she has to break the news to a 5-year-old Jim. This fanfiction is inspired by the Dreamworks series Trollhunters, and is how I imagined what it was like when James Lake Sr. left his family behind. I do not own Trollhunters or the characters.

But three months after he entered, the bridge starts to rebuild itself, and everyone in Trollmarket is forced to prepare for Gunmar's escape. Disclaimer! This is an alternate ending for TrollHunters. I started this before Seasons Two and Three came out, so it was originally a prediction for what was going to happen. But now it is an alternate universe, for what things could have happened after Jim entered the Dark Lands.
