This is my college speech outline. I had a speech class and had the opportunity to choose the topic for my speech. I had quite a bit of fun connecting dots with what is shown in the game with science, psychology, and ideas. I wanted to post it here and share my findings. As someone who struggles with picking up on symbolism but am fascinated by what can be told through it, I hope this helps others with understanding the game in a deeper sense. Also, while I was writing this, one of my sources disappeared (likely the address was bought out) and with the lack of college papers on the game, I thought I'd make one myself. I may or may not do more research depending on if I'm still fixated on it enough to nerd out.

Silent Hill, an abandoned town located in the state of Maine, hides a great secret. Many of those who arrive in that town never leave, creating a large network of missing people, partly due to some satanic rituals performed by Dahlia Gillespie when she wanted the demon Samael to be born through her daughter Alessa, something she could not achieve when she was arrested, however the town was invaded with a spiritual power. Couldn't things get worse?
