Known by many, loved by few, and remembered by one. A retelling of the short life of Regulus Arcturus Black - reminding you why he did what he did and who he did it for.

It is a bumpy start to the Marauders' sixth year. James Potter is having nightmares about the impending war but instead of talking to his friends about it, he spends his nights sneaking away. Trying to escape his family's involvement in the war, Regulus Black seeks refuge in the restricted section. It's there that they accidentally meet and have their first real conversation. James begins to visit the restricted section to spend time with Regulus, finding a strange calmness with him. Marlene McKinnon resigns from her position as seeker and captain of the Quidditch team, and James is unexpectedly thrust into the role. He turns to Regulus for help and ends up falling for him and his snarky and dirty comments. He struggles to come to terms with his sexuality and his growing feelings for his best mate's brother. Narcissa Black is trying to find herself as she prepares for her arranged marriage to Lucius Malfoy. She meets Marlene McKinnon at a pub, and the two slowly find solace in each other. Filled with drama and angst as the impending war grows more intense, and hearts are broken as difficult choices are made. The story follows the characters' decisions and which relationships will survive amidst the turmoil. On AO3 as Narcissa_McKinnon with extra parts.

Regulus Black was 10 years old when his mother first taught him where to find his brothers star in the sky. He was 10 years old when his parents sent him to a rehabilitation camp where they would force them to work and would blast a noise that sounded like nails on a chalkboard but amplified x100 everytime they stepped out of line. Regulus Black was 12 years old when he last saw his brother. He was 16 when he saw his brother again. The brother who had escaped his camp at the age of 14 and had been on the run since then.
