James finally sees his best friend, Thomas, come back from France after five years of not seeing him. Almost immediately, he becomes one of the most popular kids in school. James slowly begins to develop feelings for him and endures every moment with him. Thomas tries to spend every moment he can with him but school and popularity gets the best of him. Eventually, James starts to feel lonelier than ever although, thanks to Thomas, he's been getting more friends and going to more parties than ever before. One day, though, something..strange..happens to him.

"Mean it truly, sincere heart," James said, furrowing his brows. "Why do you do this to me, tear me apart?" He'd asked himself, more specifically, life.. - "Well, I don't follow the rules." Thomas purred, as sultry smirk caressed his features, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. - "T-Thomas, stop," James whispered breathily. "Why?" Thomas murmured, running a hand through James' curls. "The press.. they'll think it's wrong. I don't want your reputation to go down." James mumbled quietly. Thomas sighed and gently cupped his cheek, "James, if this is wrong, then I don't wanna be right." He murmured sincerely as he gazed into James' eyes, adoringly. His thumb stroked his cheek gently and he connected their lips. - Why did his heart ache? Why did he always have trouble with dating? This wasn't how he imagined it, no, not at all. He always thought he'd be happy and have a happy family! But, guess that was wrong, huh? Men constantly toyed with his heart and tugged at it's strings. James fell for people too easily and now he hardly trusted very many men. And he was frightened of having a relationship. What if they broke him?

I'm taking this another step of my own stories I wanted to make since 2020, I wanted to make some Thomas and Friends fanfics. This is the first step to do so, this story takes place after Journey Beyond Sodor, and other movies as well. James and Thomas started out as just being friends, but ended up having feelings for each other. As their relationship grows, challenges come about. Will they survive the challenges together without being separated?
