So in my opinion Season 5 was horrible in handling queer representation (as someone who is part of the LGBTQ community herself), especially with queer baiting Byler, so I've combined both of my hyper fixations together, and made a fanfic where Will and Mike get the love story they deserve!

Alternative ending for stranger things, it starts at the beginning of chapter 8, season 5. It will contain a longer final battle and more deaths, deaths that will hurt. Don't read if you haven't watched the end of Stranger Things yet, or you liked the canon ending. I personally was disappointed with the ending so I decided to write my own. And it will contain LGTBQIA+ content and some non-canon ships so if you don't want that just don't read this. I will give us the slow burn we deserved, and also not give everyone a lobotomy in season 5. But for this, I'm starting from the very beginning, and also, it's all from Mike's POV because we desperately needed some Mike POV for Byler to work. - Title from "Party" by Queen After defeating Vecna and the Mind Flayer, destroying the Upside Down, and losing his sister all in the span of just a few hours, Will Byers had finally reached graduation and was ready to leave Hawkins and move on with his life. Although still dealing with the grief that comes from losing a family member, Will was quietly thriving. He had been accepted to a progressive art college in a big city and despite the fact they were all moving around the country, he was closer than ever to his friends. Or at least that's what he thought until Stacey's party happened. Everything was normal that morning at the graduation ceremony, and later on that evening when playing D'n'D in the Wheeler's basement, even at the beginning of the party. But the next morning when Will woke up at Max's house instead of Mike's, he realised something had obviously gone terribly wrong at some point during the night. The problem was, Will had gotten so drunk that he had no recollection of what had happened. All he knew was that whatever it was, it had been so bad that Mike was no longer speaking to him. Now, he had to face going to college, once again in a different state to his best friend but this time no sister to keep communication between them. Throughout the course of the new academic year Will struggles with trying to remember what happened at the party, and reconnect with Mike, while also juggling new classes and relationships. Will he ever figure out why Mike won't speak to him anymore? Will he forever be hung up on his lifelong love for his best friend, or will he find a new, more mature love in a new friend?

This is a book that contains cutesy moments of these two because... why not? Also, no smut because I don't feel comfortable doing that, but I might put some spice oneshots if you all comment for it. Also, if you are gonna read this book, you can feel free to comment ideas for me or just some feedback on how I can do better.
