Light. We all need it. Nobody will ever admit it, but as a species, we're terrified of the dark. So much so, that not only do we light up our own homes, but we light up the world outside as well, as if the moon and stars aren't strong enough to brighten up the night. Gas lamps lined the streets, and although we took them for granted, their illumination provided great comfort from the dark. Nobody likes the dark. Very few know how to fight it, to get rid of it and make sure it can't consume the rest of us. And yet we barely know the dangers. You could never know the sacrifices. You could never imagine the blood spilled. So many gave so much. And we never even knew them. So if it takes people to fight the dark, who are they? Where are they? Why is it, that when you look out your window at night, electric street lights gleam their white artificial glow? What happened to the gas lamps, and where did their lighters go? Do you really want to know? The night has the darkest stories. But, if you think you can handle it...

This is part two of my series "What tomorrow may bring" about the lives of Jane and Jack after the events of Mary Poppins Returns. It's the sequel to "Side by Side." You don't have to read that book to understand this one, but it's one book full of fluff so you could give it a go if you want! :) One year after the end of WOII the lives of the Banks family haven't yet gone back to normal. Jack survived the war, but has lost the sparkle in his eyes. Jane has been raising their three children all by herself, and is yet to get used to having her shoulder to cry on back. Times are tough for the Banks family and there is only one person who can fix them. I don't own Mary Poppins (Returns) or it's characters. Only the plot of this story and my OC's. Jack asks Jane for a walk and brings her to his favourite place in London.. This is a little story based on Mary Poppins movies, mostly on Mary Poppins returns. SPOILER ALERT! Spoilers to Mary Poppins returns. I don't own these characters, but this story is mine.

[Set after the events of "Mary Poppins Returns"] - After the afternoon at the Spring Fair, Jack and Jane are both hopelessly in love with each other though neither of them has spoken the words yet. They agree on taking a walk together every single day after Jack's morning rounds, and every walk they fall even more in love... - Just a cute fic with loads of fluffy moments cuz though this couple was the absolute cutest in the movie, I couldn't help thinking about what would happen next between them. Hope y'all are gonna like it!

this is Mary Poppins return but in annabelle's POV and a bit of changes here and there

Part I of the Amber Series Jack is an optimistic lamplighter in the small London area that is Cherry Tree Lane. Everything seems to be going well for him: he's getting married to his longtime girlfriend, Jane, getting control of his mental health, and gaining relationships he never knew he could. However, when Mary comes back to Cherry Tree Lane she comes bearing life-changing information.

"Nice going, Kaia, he was right, you'll never be satisfied." Welcome to 17 Cherry-Tree Lane in London, England, 1964. The home to the Banks family. Next door is home to Toby and Kaia Eaton. They are originally from Chicago, America. They moved to England in 1953 after their father became an alcoholic. Before Mary Poppins looked after Jane and Michael, she looked after Kaia. That is how Kaia, Jane and Michael became best friends. Then, she came back.

Alternate Title- The Early Life of Mary Poppins and How It Came Back to Haunt Her An exploration of Mary Poppins' childhood and how she ended up the person she is. This is a bad summary, but just go ahead and read it. I promise it will be good.
