Catalina, a nineteen-year-old Spaniard soon to study abroad in America, is trapped in a situation that'll leave her questioning the truth. She's already lost on her own, and now she'll have to decide between her own future and her parents' fate. What will Catalina choose? "Happy Beginnings" was originally written by Jane Ortiz. It was ongoing until now, and was at first without chapters. Bare with the author, and be patient. This short story is twenty two pages in original length.
