From Maura's perspective. After losing the baby, Jane begins to isolate from her friends and family. Maura feels like she lost her best friend and with Casey back in the picture, her hopes for Jane to love her back disappear. Not wanting to be in the way of her friend's happiness, the doctor gives her space while leaning on the Rizzoli's brothers (who still have a crush on her)

Lando is the 13-year-old daughter of Boston Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli. Seven years ago, a serial killer known as the "Lefty Snatcher" began terrorizing the streets of Boston by preying on promising 13-year-old softball players. Lando is the left-handed setter and right side hitter for her high school varsity volleyball team, the Boston High School Lady Spartans. Four years ago, a 13-year-old girl who played volleyball and was also a left-handed setter and right side hitter (like Lando) for the nearby Beacon Hill High School Lady Knights, was abducted after volleyball practice. One afternoon after practice for the Boston Blazers Tournament, Lando received a text from whom she assumed was her best friend- Phoenix French (who plays shortstop on the same team), telling Lando to meet her in the parking lot behind the gym. When Lando got there, Phoenix wasn't there, but someone else was. A masked assailant grabbed Lando and drove off with her, not knowing that Phoenix had seen the abduction. Phoenix and her mom went directly to the BPD to notify Jane. Korsak and Jane got a description of the vehicle and a partial plate number from Phoenix. Jane and the team got a phone call saying that the body of a young girl had been found. Jane and Maura's heart dropped. Jane and Maura looked at the body... it wasn't Lando, but the girl bore a striking resemblance to her. The autopsy revealed that the girl was actually 17-years-old, and had been missing since she was 13. The girl was identified as Kirsten Duffy, the softball player from Beacon Hill High. The vehicle was registered to Tyler Humphreys. The team moved in on Humphreys and found Lando tied up and crying in a dark basement. Humphreys, aka the "Lefty Snatcher," was arrested for kidnapping, murder, and attempted murder. Lando was safe and sound, and she got to play in the greatly anticipated Boston Blazers Volleyball Tournament.

Jane and Maura's daughter ask a question that neither know exactly how to answer. Rizzles. One shot.

Maura's new love interest has pulled the wool over her eyes and taken her. How will Jane deal with her best friend gone missing, is she emotionally ready, or will she crumble in the process. Eventually Rizzles.
