From a Reddit thread that inspired me to crossover Harry Potter and the Ghostbusters. Following the events of The Battle of Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall finds herself plagued by a pair of Death Eaters who refused to move on, and as ghosts, now terrorize the school. Unable to deal with them and the Ministry being helpless, she asks Harry Potter and Hermione Granger for help. Harry's vague request to a New York based paranormal investigation squad brings The Ghostbusters to the U.K. and the Wizarding World.

The story revolves around the Ghostbusters from the 1986 animated series, who find themselves dealing with an unusual case that hits close to home. It begins when Ray is attacked by what they initially believe to be a ghost at a campsite. However, they soon discover that the attacker was a werewolf ghost, and Ray starts exhibiting strange behaviors and an insatiable appetite, raising concerns among his friends. As Ray's condition worsens, he transforms into a werewolf during a full moon. Unlike typical werewolves, Ray retains control of his mind, although he is deeply troubled by his new form. His friends, Peter, Egon, Winston, and Janine, are determined to help him, despite not fully understanding the nature of his transformation. They face several challenges, including keeping Ray's condition a secret from the public and dealing with the emotional turmoil that Ray experiences.

If you mentioned the Ghostbusters to anyone in the year 2008, nearly no one could give information about them. They were forgotten by almost everyone, their heroic world saving deeds erased from the minds of Americas citizens. Their headquarters turned into a Starbucks by a mediocre but rich actor and their equipment stolen by one of the Ghostbusters themselves. So nobody would expect 26 year old Jonathan Spengler, the son of Egon Spengler, to try and get the Ghostbusters back together. When one of the team is sick with the flu, the other 3 and Janine have to go bust a Class 6 manifestation, leaving their team member at the firehall. But it gets even worse when two robbers break into the firehall.

When out on a call, the Ghostbusters are kidnapped by two men who want revenge for ruining their lives. But when the guys do escape their captors, they must wander through the forest injured and depend on each other to make it back to civilization before they are captured again or die.

When Peter and Egon get into a fight, Peter insults Egon badly, and Egon runs out of the firehall to cool down. But when Egon is returning to the firehall, he mysteriously disappears. The guys soon find out he had been abducted. But it affects Peter more as he is worried that he'll never be able to apologize. Will the guys find Egon in time and will he and Peter make up? Or will Egon never be seen again? Note: will be rewriting this in the future, just wanted to post it to give context for my 'GB: Taken' story.

Since you guys (the readers) liked 'Welcome To The Ghostly Group' so much, I thought I'd make a mini-series about them! This series will include moments from the 5 year gap between GB1 and GB2 and moments after they got married. (most of these were/are written while watching Egon edits) enjoy!
