When you arrive at university, you're submerged into old high-school drama you were never apart of. Your cousin, Cady, and your new friends Janis and Damian help you through who you should avoid. Although you find yourself in a sticky situation with the most popular girl in the uni, someone the trio specifically told you to avoid. OR North Shore University is just an extension of North Shore High School, whereby most students from the school go to the uni, but outsiders, like yourself are also welcomed (you're on a soccer scholarship). Based off the aftermath of Mean Girls (2024), set in first year of university instead of high school (2 years after the movie) Regina x female reader Strangers to friends to lovers. Purely fiction. I'm not American, and have never been to an American high school/ university, so some things may be incorrect. I've built it off my own knowledge of the UK education system and google. Regina sits next to Janis in French class. A bet, a game of seven minutes in heaven, and a whole lot of bonding later, the girls are closer than Janis ever thought was possible or, as one of my comments put it, Regina is a gay mastermind and Janis is along for the ride -- Regina George was really not that relevant in Janis' life. She was in the year above, sometimes Janis was in the corridor when Regina parted the crowds like the Red Sea, sometimes she wasn't. It didn't matter to Janis; it didn't matter to Regina. Janis didn't think Regina even knew her name. As far as Janis was concerned? Regina was insignificant.

Y/n goes to High School for the first time in her life, seeing what its like to be a teenager. She learns that it's not all perfect like the movies show it is and there are struggles and there as times when you make mistakes, but its only important if you learn from them.
