Sequoia Dream is told from the journal of Anastasia Norweg, who lives in the country, far away from everything and everyone. She has been homeschooled all her life and has not met many friends, and all of them that she meets are considered old souls like herself. The journal consists of entries about the different people Anastasia meets and the trips they take to the Sequoia trees that her grandfather planted many years ago.

The 27 club is the biggest curse among musicians and other famous people.

Things are not all they seem for a group of artistic misfits at Robert Johnson Art School for the Gifted, a high school for kids who show promise in art and music, but who get into trouble elsewhere. When lead guitarist Beatrix tries to take her own life and wakes up in a hospital, she finds she inadvertently summoned the ghosts of the 27 club. Now they have to help her love herself again to break the curse of the 27 club.
