Janus Viper was once a handsome king, a cruel ruler that ruled his Kingdom with an iron fist. Even though he had everything he ever wanted since he was born (except, perhaps, love) he taxed his people relentlessly in order to fill his castle with the most beautiful objects, and his parties with the most powerful people. One day, a weak and homeless old man visits Janus, seeking shelter from the storm. Janus turns the man away, repulsed by his appearance, and as punishment, a curse is placed on Janus and his castle. Janus is turned into a monster, with six arms, claws, venomous fangs, and scales covering half of his body. The servants of the castle and all his guests were turned into furniture, as punishment for sitting by and doing nothing while the Prince grew into the cruel King he is today. However, there is a cure for the curse. If Janus can learn to truly love another and be loved in return, the curse will be cured. As the years went by, the castle and everyone in it became forgotten, and Janus lost hope. For who could ever love someone as cold and monstrous as him? Meanwhile, in a small village nearby, a Wizard named Logan Foster is looked down on by his town for his startling intelligence, difficulty in social situations, and his practices of magic. That doesn't deter Roman Prince from attempting to court Logan, however, because even if he is odd, Logan is the most handsome man in the village, and Roman has always enjoyed a challenge. Not wishing for his son to be alone, Patton Foster agrees to give Roman his blessing. Logan, who doesn't wish to get married, runs away from home. He plans to build a cabin in the forest and live the rest of his days there, but instead he finds a castle, where he is invited to stay as a guest. (Yes changing the captive part you're welcome) He isn't sure yet who the Castle's Master is, but based on the talking furniture that allowed him to stay here, he assumes it's a fellow Wizard. Fond nonetheless. They're as close as he'd like them to be. Which is very, very close. A job, where he gets to see that one cute coworker every day, and they can trade snarky comments about whatever sparks their interest that day. Nothing like handing someone a hot coffee while a hot guy whispers hot takes in your ear. A secret, double life, fighting the supervillain Illusion. Who, it just so happens, has the most adorable smile and laugh and eyes and - superheroes were not supposed to be attracted to the very people trying to hurt their city, right? Nor were they supposed to help them defend it against an even worse, more deadly one. Roman Trente has, in summary, the perfect life. Too bad soulmates are a thing. ~ a few things: 1) read the a/n! 2) this is not just 'who gets the guy' there's a story here as well. also starting with chapter 14 there's some 'glitches' in the text! those are purposeful. i did hide some code in there (not much most of it is number spam) so study those if you want!! scroll past them too and you won't miss much, they're basically an easter egg :) that's all! thanks for your interest yall :)))

Welcome to the Castillo mines, also known as Hell on Earth. The mines are the number one buyer of kidnapped orphan children, I mean it's not like anyone will notice them missing, right? Of course, the biggest threat to the owners of the mine and the leader of the trafficking ring would be an escapee, if there was one. And for years Ryan Castillo managed to avoid such a risk, except a single, scrappy kid made it to the surface unnoticed, Virgil Shaw. Months later he recruits his new friends to help him take down the mines and trafficking ring for good, and hopefully find his best friend along the way. Let me know if this has been done before, if not then this is probably the most original story idea I've ever had or will have XD Hey look I made my own cover for once! Janus Owens would do absolutely anything in his power for his little brother Virgil. The chances of a sixteen-year-old getting adopted weren't very large, when you throw in Janus's medical history, and the fact that he and Virgil are pretty much a package deal, the chances came down to pretty much zero. Virgil however... Sweet, kind, nine-year-old Virgil didn't suffer from any visible health issues (not like Janus who was all but covered in burn scars). Now he still had a chance. And the agency was more than aware of that. So when a great opportunity comes along that might just end with at least one of the Owen's brothers finding a home Janus is presented with their 'wonderful' and 'brilliant' decision that would in the end 'be better for everyone'. Virgil and Janus would be separated. Virgil would go on to be fostered by a family who was looking to adopt and Janus would remain in foster care until he too found a family (unlikely) or until he aged out. And after being presented with all of the information, and being assured he'd still be able to visit him he agreed. Oh what a mistake that turned out to be.

For an embodiment of logic, Logan has been so distracted lately, everyone is starting to notice, and Logan is yet to figure it out. Figure out why he is so 'lost'. Lost in thought.

Almost immediately after Selfishness v. Selflessness, Deceit is suddenly very very alone and has to learn how to cope with it. Sorry i just fell in love with the ship after the Selfishness vs Selflessness Redux episode so i had to make a book for them. This is also my first book so idk. Anyhow, also all this takes place during and after the video i mentioned before! Story summary: Janus never got to know the "light" sides that well. He only knew some things like how they acted to impersonate them. Never in a million years did he think he would fall head over heels for one of them....... (Also be prepared for a lot of mistakes in spelling and/or grammar)

Logan moves from Maine to Florida after his parents had divorced and he left his two brothers behind. He doesn't exactly like it here but he is giving this place a chance. He is yet to know how great his future will turn out to be. This is in progress and not yet completed.
