NYYYYRUUUU
At twenty years old, Zei Katagiri finds himself sitting in a Grade 9 classroom at Sakurakaze Junior High School.
While most people his age are already finishing high school or starting college, Zei is only beginning again.
After years away from education because of circumstances beyond his control, he finally receives a chance to return to school thanks to the sacrifices of his parents. Determined not to waste their hard work, Zei studies with everything he has. He is not a genius, nor is he exceptionally talented, but he learns quickly when someone takes the time to teach him.
Many students respect his determination.
Others laugh at him.
To them, he is the twenty-year-old junior high student who should have given up long ago.
But Zei doesn't care about their mockery.
He knows why he is here.
He knows what his parents sacrificed.
And he knows that chasing an education is never something to be ashamed of.
As he struggles through classes, builds new friendships, faces personal hardships, and deals with bullies who mistake his kindness for weakness, Zei slowly discovers that school is more than just studying-it is a second chance at the youth he never had.
A story about perseverance, friendship, laughter, and the courage to start over.
Because sometimes, no matter how late you begin...
it's never too late.
Never Too Late "Some students go to school because they have to. Zei Katagiri goes because he finally can."
