Modern AU, where Jean is a 17 year old, who struggles with depression ever since he ran away from home after an argument with his mother about his sexuality. Marco, an 18 year old who works at Starbucks to help support his family. Marco helps him out after finding him beaten and bloody in the ally behind his workplace. (I can't picture either of their canon mothers as homophobic, and the only reason I made Jean's mom homophobic was to add to the story.)

Ever since she helped Marco work up the nerves to ask Jackie out, she regretted everything. After all, who wouldn't be jealous that the boy of their dreams, that they've shared memories with, dates a girl who doesn't even know he exists. What will happen to the screw-up twins now?
