Forced to choose between Dance Central and the Glitterati, Julia chooses Dance Central and becomes a DCI Agent. Warned by both Lima and Rasa, it's become evident to her that she can't share any of what she does with Jaryn and Kerith. Secrets can't stay secrets, however, and it isn't until a close friend betrays Julia that the Glitterati discover her extracurricular activities. Disowned by the both of them, and with Glitch choosing his girlfriend over her for friendship she struggles to stay sane. Then, on top of all the madness, Emilia offers Julia the chance a lifetime-joining Riptide Crew. Julia has always felt close to Emilia, and now she's beginning to question if she's really in the right place in life. But when duty calls to stop an evil, secret dance organization, Julia accepts...no matter the consequences.

Life for Julia hasn't always been easy, but it's about to become much more difficult. Surrounded by rumors, secrets, and lies, she'll have to decide which ones she believes, and which ones she doesn't. Jaryn and Julia's strained relationship grows worse each day, and she knows it won't be long before Jaryn kicks her out... so why does she stay? Well, it's much better than the streets, and at least she's not starving. One day, scavenging the Glitterati Tower's 'basement', Julia finds a shocking discovery- Jaryn's private diary from long ago. Reading it, she thinks she knows why Jaryn turned out the way she did, and the secret truth behind her and Kerith's 'close' relationship. Meanwhile, DCI is certain that the Glitterati are up to something, and Julia knows one day she'll have to choose sides... sooner or later.

As both sides stand their ground, Lima and Rasa send their agents back in time in order to stop Tan from eradicating freestyle from dance forever by learning the moves and dance crazes of the past decades. This book branches from the original plot of the third game in the prized franchise and fills in any missing plot holes present. In it, the story additionally explains what happens after the infamous villain loses the battle he fought so hard for.

The loveable cast of characters return to this installment of the series-along with a couple of new faces. Ranging from the characters' interpersonal relationships, to how the crews were formed and how they got their outfits, you'll surely enjoy this refreshing sequel. Meanwhile, a new crew threatens the safety of DCI, and Oblio suspects his father is up to something. Will Dance Central avoid potential danger by compromising with these 'rookies', and is Oblio right about his father? Or are they merely the result of lingering trust issues and dubious claims?

When Jaryn and Kerith break-in to DCI Headquarters and send Boomie to where they believe Dr. Tan is located, Dr. Tan is able to return to the present-era. But help comes for a price... and that means both Dr. Tan and the Glitterati Twins are subject to each other's terms. Dr. Tan wants to renovate DCI Headquarters into a bar, and keep a tight rein on the dancers, while the Glitterati wants to abolish any other dance crew. Motivated by the share of a common enemy, Dr. Tan works on a program he affectionately calls Spotlight- designed to obliterate Dance Central forever.

because he requested it. you're welcome jake. Jake fell in love with Taryn as soon as he laid eyes on him. His blonde hair, blue eyes, pale skin... he was perfect. He always wanted to ask him out, but never had the confidence to. He didn't think he was good enough. Taryn loved Jake, plain and simple. His brown hair, blue eyes, and terrific sense of humor sent him higher than the moon. He tried hinting at Jake that he liked him, but in Taryn's eyes, Jake would never like him. He's too good for him. I have no regrets.

Julia is severally wounded. She shouldn't be alive. When she wakes up in a hospital several cities away from San D'Angelo, she is dazed, confused, and broken- both physically and emotionally. Spotlight Aubrey, the one who accompanied Julia to the ICU, attempted to comfort her, but Julia is gone. Too much pain, too much hurt, too much mistrust. The other dancers believe she died while completing the mission. Believed she is not needed by anyone after a long recovery, she runs away to continue the solitary life she once led. But something is drawing Julia back to the city once again...whether or not she listens.
