Adira Hicks, the adopted sister of Wes Hicks, has always felt like an outsider in the small town of Woodsboro. But when a new killer starts terrorizing the town in the latest installment of the "Scream" franchise, Adira finds herself in the center of the action. As the body count rises, Adira starts to develop feelings for Mindy Meeks-Martin, the niece of Woodsboro's famous horror movie fan, Randy Meeks. Mindy is a fellow horror aficionado and they bond over their shared love of scary movies. As Adira and Mindy navigate their new relationship, they also find themselves caught up in the killer's twisted game. The killer seems to be targeting members of Adira's friends and family and Adira fears that she could be next. As the tension builds and the body count rises, Adira and Mindy must work together to unmask the killer before it's too late. But when the killer's identity is finally revealed, Adira is shocked to discover that it's someone she never expected.
