Danny and Ella's cores are severely damaged, and the only way to fix them is to send them to a different universe and change their DNA. When telling Jazz, she offered to be their mother; when he explained that he would have to change her memories and her injuries to make them different, she agreed. So he went to find the three a new home, and that's when he heard Jason's wish and decided to grant it.
