"I Never Planned On Someone Like You..." "C'mon Jack, be serious." It's 1899 and Jack Kelly who's a 17 year old painter and singer for Medda Larkin in her theater in Manhattan New York, he ran into 16 year old new stagehand and author Davey Jacobs who was captivated by the older boy's voice and charisma as well as his artwork. When the theater was slammed one particular night it caused Davey to stay and work late he ended up running into Jack again who was staying late painting a backdrop while singing to pass the time which drew Davey to listen. A few months passed as Jack started growing feelings for Davey. What was a brief simple conversation, to becoming really close friends, quickly turns into something they both didn't imagine.

David Jacobs was perfect in every way he needed to be. He had a loving family, a safe home and a future set in stone. All he had to do was keep his grades up and he could get a well paying job and live his life the way he was supposed to. But when he runs into a newsie who introduces himself as Jack Kelly, his life turns upside down. He finds himself having to give up school to get a job, where he discovers that his picture-perfect life may not be as perfect as he thought. Wow look at me actually writing a description instead of gibberish. Anyways this will be hecka gay so if you're scared of that the shoo. Imma mostly focus on fluff with a good amount of angst mixed in there for fun but no smut!! Warning for mentions of homophobia, internalized homophobia, sad bois and maybe other things but nothing too serious. Just a silly lil gay story

Homeless New York City newsboy Jack "Cowboy" Kelly befriends two newcomers to his trade, brothers David and Les Jacobs. When publisher Joseph Pulitzer sets new rules that make it harder for the young newspaper salesmen to make a buck, the boys go on strike. Bryan Denton, a journalist who's sympathetic to their plight, gives them some tips in public relations, as the newsboys' battle grips the city. (I know this is (almost) the Movie's literal definition when you look it up, but in the movie had some things cut from it that needed to be in it and I know it happened irl but I know it won't let me put Historical Nonfiction soooo)

Jack Kelly had a tough childhood. Honestly, he still does, even living with his amazing adopted mom and brother. After meeting the cute new kid, however, he wonders if things will start to go his way Racetrack Higgins lives with his amazing grandparents. His parents were far from the best and after being kicked out for being trans, he was glad to have his grandparents to be there for him. He's getting through high school fine, though the kid in his math class from another school certainly made it better. Mush Meyers has been in love with his best friend for 3 years. Of course he loves just being friends, but he can't help the feeling that ate at him everything they brushed shoulders. He can only hope that starting high school, and being on a larger campus can help him lose his feelings. He sure hoped they wouldn't get worse. Rated mature for themes of murder, suicide, and other heavy topics (oh golly). I like angst sorry. But no smut or anything like that just lots of angst. I'll also put trigger warnings in particularly heavy chapters tho

In Direct response to @JaveyandDebuts I have formulated my own Newsies High School AU. Complete with toxic parents, cigarettes (American and British), autism, and a past incident at Medda's theater. Basically every character is struggling with something. Just... bear with me. Oh also it's told from multiple first-person points of view if you're into that kinda thing. Enjoy? I guess? I'll put more specific content warnings in chapters in which they appear but the general ones to worry about are smoking (thank you Race), emotional incest, parentification, abuse, and self harm... there might be more we'll see.

David Jacobs is a 16-year-old boy who goes to Pulitzer High School in Lower Manhattan. He just transferred to the school from a private school ever since his dad got laid off from his job. The story starts off on his first day; everything seems to be going smooth until he sees this one boy.

Albert DaSilva, a runaway government experiment for Switzerland's military, finds a new life in Italy with the lovely blonde haired boy Racetrack Higgins. When everything is going great, Albert's past only catches up to them again and they have to decide what decision to make that could affect the kids in trouble or their friends....

It had been a few months since the Newsies won their strike against Joseph Pulitzer and things had finally started to go back to normal. For most of the Newsies that was anyways. Two of the Newsies, Specs and Romeo had their own problems that they were dealing with. Both were hopelessly in love with the other and were convinced that the feelings were not mutual. In a time where being gay is illegal, will they give up or will they find joy in an illegal romance?

Going to Medda, begging for a job, he finds himself getting hired for a job that you would never expect...
