In a magical fairy tale world, two well-meaning parents-to-be upset a witch, who proceeds to curse every child they ever have. They end up with a monstrously ugly daughter, a son scheduled to go into a deep sleep on his 15th birthday, and a baby who gets turned into a tadpole. The only way the older children can be cured is through true love, so they naturally think the same for their younger brother, but they don't know for sure. This is a Newsies fanfiction. I don't own Newsies or its characters. In case it wasn't clear I'm trying my hand at Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, and Frog Prince stories.

This is a text version of the 1992 movie (minus most of the songs because it felt awkward to leave them in) but adapted to include the romantic storyline that my gay newsboys truly deserved. I will update kind of sporadically because I get random inspiration and will write, like six pages in a day, but then I lose all interest for weeks at a time. I take some artistic liberties, but try to stay fairly true to the scripting. Note: the chapters I post on here are not necessarily done being edited, so if you have any tips on things I should fix, feel free to comment and I'll put it into consideration! WARNING, TRIGGERS: Racism, Homophobia, slurs, overall bigotry, self-harm (later on), full to the brim with gay men (if the last one triggers you, then you're reading the wrong fanfic lol)

The newsies have grown up. It's 1914, a year after Kid Blink passed away. But Jack is not allowed to forget him so easily; he's given a letter signed by Kid Blink the day before he died, giving Jack vague instructions, and more confusion than anything else. There's one thing he does know, though: he needs help from the newsies. And even when that mess is taken care of to the best of its ability, now they have something new to worry about: World War I.

While visiting his beloved racetrack he some how manages to form a unlikely bond with the Leader of Brooklyn, Spot Conlon. What happens when the "King" of New York and King of Brooklyn fall head over heels for one another? -- Why is my silly little story popular?
