JAX CENTRIC! Jax angst, hurt/comfort, etc
Rain pouring.
Tears falling.
Nineteen-year-old Leeroy Mateo runs through an alleyway in Chicago, Illinois, in the pouring rain. Despite the hoodie pulled over his head, the rain soaks through and his hair is wet beyond saving.
But Leeroy doesn't think about that.
He just wants out.
Out of his mind.
Out of this world.
Out of all of it.
He stops at a bridge. He looks down. It's a long way to the lake underneath.
Leeroy climbs onto the railing.
A man runs over. "Wait!" he cries. "Don't jump!"
"Why?" Leeroy scowls. "I'm just a worthless person anyways."
"I know I might not be worth your time," the man pants, breathless, "but believe me when I tell you there's a way to be free from this without jumping."
Leeroy turns to face the man. He's interested now. "How?"
"Here," the man says, reaching into his backpack and pulling out a brand new VR headset. "This will help you. Trust me."
