Jax stared at the photograph of him and Pomni that they took together, tears now streaming down his cheeks, the mask finally slipping. 'SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CARED ABOUT YOU! AND YOU [BEEP]ED IT ALL UP.' Curling into a ball he began to sob not knowing that in the room across from him something more sinister was happening. Will he confess his feelings or will he find her too late. Read to find out!! WARNING!!!- This is not canon, this is my au and I'm bored.

Caine had a breakdown. The circus collapsed and everyone was freed. Everyone remembered their names. Everyone got their bodies back. Caine had reached his breaking point. After being told numerous times his adventures were pointless. Torture even. He realized there was no point to his existence. He can't create fun. He creates digital hell. He glitched out. Crashed. The circus died with him. Christine (Pomni) went home first. Sprinted out of the building where everyone was spit out so fast she didn't see anyone's real face. When she knocks on the door, her mother breaks down in tears and pulled her into a hug. She had been missing for nine months. Nine months of questions she doesn't know how to answer. She tries to explain where she's been, but the words sound impossible-even to herself. Felix (Jax) returns to a house filled with memories he ran from. The last time he was there, he'd left after a fight with his mom's boyfriend. Awful words were said. But he ran, never looking back. Now he had to face the question he's been avoiding: after everything, does he still belong there? This is a story about two people rebuilding lives that kept moving without them. About finding familiarity in a world that no longer feels the same. And about a friendship that survives the circus-proving that even after everything falls apart, some connections don't disappear. In fact, they grow deeper... Most of it will have no major storyline and will be like a little slice-of-life book. Ever since the adventure with the guns (in a reality where the fight never happened) Jax and Pomni's friendship has only continued to grow. They're never far apart these days. They do everything together. They pull pranks together, they joke together, they laugh together, they walk together, they sit together, and one is never far from the other. It's nice for the longest while. Happy. Fun. Relaxing, almost. Jax can finally let his guard down while still pulling pranks.
