Jayce and Viktor stay cosy in the lab as a storm brews outside.

Viktor had mastered the art of goodbyes. He never took too much time, but he also never rushed through the moment. He wasn't indifferent, and always expressed his emotions out loud. Yet, he wasn't too cheesy or cliché with his words and avoided exaggerated displays of affection. For Viktor, goodbyes were about leaving his loved ones with genuine and beautiful smiles. Jayce was the type to miss people really easily. And Intensely. He was the type of friend who would sprint down the corridors, yelling exuberantly when he saw his friends after a summer break. That was one of the first things Viktor learnt about Jayce, when they first met. So the fact that Jayce was not here to greet his friends and brighten everyone's morning was unusual, to say the least. It didn't add up. And Viktor couldn't shake the guilt he felt. "Maybe it is your fault, you idiot." The thought kept running through his head. Or in other words, where Viktor tries to fix the relationship he had broken. Disclaimer: English is not my first language, so it may not be perfect. For most people, this story started when four poor zaunite kids robbed and (accidentally) bombed a young, bright, topsider's dormitory who was attending Piltover academy but this war started long before that for the people of Zaun. The neverending cycle they have been fighting for decades. Fighting for the right to simply live. Fighting for the confidence that it was okay for them to live. To exist. Viktor was very young when he had to discover how hard that was going to be. Viktor coming to terms with the fact- it was okay for him to live. OR: My version of Arcane from Viktor's pov

Your voice broke the silence, laced with both curiosity and authority. He turned quickly, his eyes meeting yours with an intensity that sent a shock of recognition through you, though you couldn't understand why. For a moment, neither of you spoke. He seemed taken aback by your presence, but his expression quickly shifted to one of respect. "My apologies, Princess," Jayce said, bowing his head, his deep voice smooth but tinged with a foreign accent. "I was merely lost in the mysteries of the past. I didn't expect you to be here." ..

Viktor was sitting on the ground. He was disintegrating too, but slower. Jayce stared at him. Furrowed brow. Tight lips. Viktor rarely got angry. In the past, it used to amuse him. It gave him a weird, childish satisfaction to see Viktor fired up, flaring with life-like fireworks bursting into color. It warmed his heart. Now, it just left behind a sweet, unbearable ache. Whack. Or maybe not.

A story told of young Jayce Talis, an Academy student in Piltover, meeting an unlikely face on campus, one that's not supposed to be there. What is he going to do about it?

The Revolution is over, and the Undercity has won. Vi shouldn't be worried anymore; her struggles and hardships from her life in the Undercity are all in the past. Or so they seem. Pari Kaur is worried; her achievements and ease from her life in the Topside are all in the past. She isn't sure how her family is going to survive now that they have been forced under; she's willing to do anything to get her old life back, even if that means joining the growing rebellion of former Topsiders. As fate takes it's course and ties together two very different lives, both Vi and Pari are going to realize that though working together isn't going to be ideal, they will have no choice if everything they love is at stake.

Loneliness is a disease far worse than what Viktor naturally holds, lonely nights in the lab with Jayce away always stays in the back of his mind despite the constant push of pain he's put in the name of progress. Yet, no amount of shimmer, no amount of the arcane, and no amount of pulling away will let Viktor escape his cycle of loneliness. Perhaps, Jayce was the only constant, a motivation that Viktor could never acknowledge for the sake of his own pride and embarrassment until the end. As he laid, chest withered as he exhaled in pain, he finally understood.

A father on the verge of death, a potential Piltover ignores and disrespects. Y/n is tormented between her family and her lifelong dream. Is there a chance for her on Topside? Is there someone who won't see her as a zaunite? Is there someone willing to see past her walls of strength? ☆☆ This is my first official fanfiction so it might be reeeeaaaallllyyyy bad. I actually just like writing. I don't usually take requests but go on if you'd like. I'm not a native English speaker so sorry if I'm not the best at writing. I do not own Arcane characters, the only one I own is Y/N( and other Ocs throughout the story) Anywho, good reading ^^

Starry eyed lovers have to overcome their differences in two cities that are built to separate them. Viktor's a mage from Zaun, and Jayce is an academic from Piltover, a city that has outlawed the expression of magic.
