It all started with two videos. One with Yandere Dev doing a Jay from the Kubz Scouts impression, and the other where Jay does a Yandere Dev impression. Of course, ship-crazed fangirls took this as a shipping opportunity, and wrote fanfics about the two being together. Of course, they thought nothing of it, just fangirls being fangirls.
