Zaun and Piltover have their differences, but that doesn't stop both cities from creating genius inventors. Enter Viktor, a Zaunite, who was specially selected to join one of Piltover's academies. Despite Viktor's appearance and where he came from, a well-known student in the academy named Jayce Talis became interested in him. However, things progress as they begin to connect more. They'd try to shoot their shots, or they'd try to make new excuses and stupid reasons. Only to stop the feeling. This story is about the peoples of the Light Elfs and the Dark Elfs and their existing conflicts. Each Nation has its own characteristics as well as advantages and disadvantages that are further elucidated in this story. Jayce and Viktor who come from very different backgrounds find each other through curiosity and a preference for science. They learn to discard the prejudices and habits of their people and learn to work together. Despite the ups and downs and their very different origins, they will find each other through a spark. A forbidden love blossoms, with consequences... Small preview: Viktor's POV "Shit...can't you watch where you going?! Were your eyes giving up or wha-" I drew attention to myself while being mad and the person slowly stood up from me only to hover over me. His hood had slipped down and we looked straight into each others eyes. I didn't even finish my sentence and suddenly turned speechless. While we were looking at eachothers eyes, his eyes shone gold for a split second before it faded again. My anger was completely extinguished and I completely forgot about the pain. "Oh my God, I'm so sorry. That's not what I intended to...what was the word in Dazhaunian again? Ehh Fuck..." he said in his broken Dazhaunian while also mumbling in Ploverian. "A Light Elf..."

At twenty-four, Viktor was the newly crowned King of Zaun. And the heaviest link in his chain was the betrothal contract to Lord Dimitri. Dimitri was... acceptable. Handsome in a sharp, calculated way, wealthy beyond measure, and from a house whose armies could shore up the crown's weakening borders. He was also a pompous, preening peacock who spoke in political platitudes and looked at Viktor not with desire, but with the cold assessment of a man acquiring a particularly fine piece of real estate. He stood before the floor-to-ceiling window of his solar, watching the sun rise over the city. The light, pure and hopeful, felt like a personal insult. Behind him, the rustle of parchment and the soft clink of a quill being set down signaled the end of his morning audience with the commander of his kingsguard. Sir Jayce de Talis. His sworn sword. The man who held Viktor's heart in his gauntleted hands and refused to acknowledge it.

When autumn finally settled in the Piltover air, Viktor was gone. He was alone when it happened, but his passing was as peaceful as it could have been, a deep sleep being the only thing to show him mercy. God forbid he had suffered. - Viktor passed sooner than anyone could have expected, and Jayce had never felt more alone.

In an instant Viktor was picking up the screw driver again and whipping around to see who had invaded their laboratory. As he turned, his eyes found themselves locked with a familiar sparkling gold, he let out a relieved breath and lowered the screwdriver.
