There was once a young lady who lived in the small town of Mondstadt, her younger sister was a popular singer, known to bring people happiness with her songs. One day, her sister left for competition with her friend Bennett. While on the rode, it started to snow, it was cold and they couldn't see in front of there face. Luckily, they found an old castle on the outskirts of Teyvat. Bennett had a terrible feeling of going in but Barbra didn't mind but once she got in she instantly regretted it. Bennett in fear ran back to find Jean, once he did Jean raced to the castle and replaced Barbra's place with hers.

After Crepus' death, Diluc and Jean travel together, eventually winding up with a bit of a history and a home in Snezhnaya. They've settled in to life together, but when their oldest companion pays them a visit, there's no escaping the ghosts they've left in their wake. One big change from canon is that Jean's vision is Cryo instead of Anemo. There's a reason for that, dear readers, I promise. It'll come into play more as time goes on but for now it's just a fluff element. This is an idea I'm playing with that I like. Putting this first chapter out to test the waters. Hope you enjoy!
