But he also remembers other memories, precious ones, one's of him falling in love with someone, marrying them, building a life with that person in that incredibly cruel world that they'd lived in. Armin never really noticed Jean a whole lot, except when they passed desks in their math class together, or when Jean got into petty fights with Eren. But when Armin's best friends forgot about his birthday, Jean was the one to actually remember. Modern day SNK AU based on the fairytale "Beauty and the Beast" The story takes place in modern France, where a high school aged Englishman named Armin has lived with his grandfather ever since his parents died seven years ago. When Armin's grandfather drives out during a snowstorm one night and doesn't return the next day, Armin immediately sets out to find him, ignoring the dangers of traveling into a forest with no GPS signal.
