Frustrated at Alexander not wanting to come along with them, she goes downtown to take care of some things and meets a certain gentleman whom she used to exchange very passionate letters with. In a way of upsetting Hamilton, she decides to bring the man along to acompany her on the trip. The tension between them grows, making them both frightened of what the future will bring and what will happen to them once the summer's over. Meanwhile Hamilton not being able to convince James Madison to cooperate, keeps trying to reach Jefferson with letters, in belief that he's the only one able to convince the congress to vote for his financial plan. Overwhelmed by the stress, he meets Mrs. Maria Reynolds, who brough even more mess to his life. Modern Au/College Au Alexander Hamilton hated two things- Thomas Jefferson and anything revolving around the stories about Alice in Wonderland. Put all three things together and you get a whirlwind of raging emotions and yelling. No one knew why Alexander hated Wonderland. In fact, he used to be perfectly okay with it. But then it suddenly just... snapped. He couldn't even stand the word "wonderland." So of course Thomas would find anything to irritate the smaller male to no ends. And this just happened to be the topic to do the trick. And that's when things start getting twisted. At first, it's just dreams and thoughts. But then, people change. Innocent, pure people become sadistic, bloodlusting killers, or killers suddenly stop and change. Nobody has an answer to what's going on. And it isn't all that grand when Alexander's three best friends snap just with the others and change themselves, leaving him alone in vulnerability. He isn't the only one who hasn't changed though. Thomas Jefferson is, in Alexander's words, "a jackass." But there's only one way to find out how to figure this problem out and it's involving becoming best friends with his enemy. Maybe Wonderland really did exist. He would rather be able to dive down a rabbit hole than work with Thomas Jefferson.
