Having been raised as a Jehovah's Witness, he's been hiding his true self from everyone in plain sight. If he hadn't, his whole life would disappear overnight. Nobody must know. But each passing day keeping his secret becomes more difficult. Particularly after meeting someone with whom he feels a connection he's never felt before. Nicholas Addams is a handsome farm boy grown up, but he's got a dark cloud in his past. He's a distant and pretty much silent type, that focuses himself on the Congregation, but is it because of his spirituality or to keep his demons at bay? Will he be able to keep them hidden when he finds his soulmate?

Tord moved out a while ago from Edd's house, and he is doubting it more than ever. He feels like he has to go back. He needs to say sorry. But will the others forgive him? After all, he left them in the dark. And now he waits at the door, breathless. There's no going back.

Tenielle isn't sure what to do. Her sisters don't need protection the way they did when they were younger. As the teen years begin, she loses focus on who she is, as an individual. Aimee can't help it. She feels best while dancing. If she has dance every day, she is safe. She can grow, physicaly, mentally, academically, professionally. But can she grow emotionally?

Charlotte doesn't have a life goal. She has a life plan that was set about decades before she was born. but when she meets God, she realizes that nothing is as it seems. And she can create the the life she actually wants.

It was surprising really. How willing everyone was to forgive me, even Tom. Maybe it was because he saw the desperation in my eyes, hidden behind all the pain and tears. It was obvious, yet I wasn't putting in much effort to hide it, I was too restless, too lonely, too... afraid.

This story is fictional and was written for a class assignment. I researched a real family, the Kusserows, and loosely based the Stieber family around their true experiences.
